Matthew D. Ory is a trial lawyer who believes preparation wins cases. For nearly two decades, Matt has represented clients throughout South Louisiana in complex personal injury and criminal defense matters. He has handled hundreds of cases, tried numerous cases before judges and juries, and built a reputation for being a prepared, strategic, and relentless advocate in the courtroom. He believes there is no substitute for hard work, attention to detail, and knowing a case inside and out.
Matt founded Ory Law Group with a straightforward mission: provide exceptional legal representation while treating every client with honesty, respect, and direct communication. He understands that most people don't hire a lawyer during the best time in their lives. They're looking for someone they can trust to guide them through one of the most difficult moments they will ever face.
His work ethic was shaped early by his father, who taught him the value of discipline, accountability, and always following through on your word. Those principles remain the foundation of his practice today.
Outside the office, Matt is passionate about giving back to the community. He serves as President of the Colonel Athletic Association, President of Louisiana Baseball Academy, and is a co-founder of ThiboGrow. He believes investing in young people and strengthening the local community is just as important as serving clients in the courtroom.
